Coach Joe Osovet – Head Football Coach, Heritage High School

With over 30 years of coaching experience, Joe Osovet brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of success to Heritage High School as the head football coach. Renowned for his innovative "Bolt Offense," Osovet has established himself as a offensive innovator, driving his teams to multiple successful seasons at both the high school and collegiate levels.

Osovet's football journey began as a player at Nassau Community College before transferring to Northeastern University, where he completed his collegiate playing career. He later earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Empire State College in New York, further solidifying his foundation in athletics and coaching.

Throughout his distinguished career, Osovet has held coaching positions at prestigious institutions, including Nassau Community College, ASA College, Long Island University, and The University of Tennessee. His dynamic leadership and innovative strategies earned him significant accolades, such as two time Northeast Football Conference Coach of the Year awards in 2014 and 2017 and the 2014 USA Sports Writers JUCO Coach of the Year honor.

At Heritage High School, Coach Osovet continues to inspire and develop young athletes, emphasizing discipline, innovation, and a commitment to excellence both on and off the field.

Coach Osovet resides in Knoxville with his wife Sandy and their two kids, Brooke and Austin.
